the r y e guide to product care
With every collection, we designed and crafted with longevity in mind. Here we share tips on how our pieces can be long lasting in your wardrobes:
Modal fabric is a semi-synthetic fabric made from beech tree pulp. It is also breathable, lightweight and soft like silk. This incredible brushed-like softness comes from the sand wash treatment it undergoes. For our classic muscle tees and crew-neck boy tees, it is a normal occurrence for powder-like marks to appear due to the treatment. A gentle rinse will easily wash them off.
For machine cycle:
- Turn garment inside out. Place garment into a laundry net and wash at a temperature of 30°C or below—on cold gentle cycle.
- Do not use fabric softener or bleach.
For hand wash:
- Press gently while washing at a temperature of 30°C or below.
- Do not soak the garment for a long period of time.
- Do not use fabric softener or bleach.
- Do not wring.
When drying:
- Lay flat to dry in a shaded, well-ventilated area.
- Avoid drying with a tumble dryer or in direct sunlight.
- If garment is wet, press down gently with a towel.
- Iron on low heat or steam, if necessary. Use a pressing cloth between the iron and the garment for extra protection.
When storing:
- Fold or roll the garment. Avoid leaving the garment hanging for long periods of time, as this may change its shape.
Precautions to take:
- Modal fabrics are prone to oil-based stains. Rub baby powder over the oil stain and let it sit for 10 minutes to absorb the oil. Treat the stain with cold water and mild gentle detergent.

When storing:
- Roll the garment gently along the lines of the pleats into a cylindrical shape. Secure with a string. This allows the pleats to remain intact.
- Do not stretch the garment or apply pressure to it, and store it in a cool, dry place. Avoid leaving the garment hanging for long periods of time, as this may change the shape of their pleats.
Precautions to take:
- Avoid pressure from sitting or folding. To restore pleats to their original state, apply moisture by spraying gently, then lay flat and allow to dry naturally.
Cupro is a semi-synthetic fabric made from cotton waste. It is breathable, lightweight and soft like silk. Our cupro drawstring flared pants is made using a blend of cupro and tencel for added strength and durability. Except for seaweed which is made with 100% cupro, all colours are made with this blend. Cupro is also not stretchable unlike elastane or spandex. As such, garments made with cupro are extremely delicate and more suited for around-the-house movements.
